Community Education
At Progreso Community Center (PCC), we believe that knowledge and information are power and must not be monopolized only by a few. We believe that everyone has valuable knowledge to share with others and that that no one should live marginalized from the processes of transmission, reception, or exchange of information. Knowledge and information are the tools for people to free themselves from exploitation and oppression.
In our effort to develop the critical consciousness of our community, we use the principles of popular education to motivate our community members to engage in collective action to implement social changes.
